Imani Watts & Alexandria Hadley
Imani Watts and Alexandria Hadley share an awe-inspiring bond as best friends, forged since the tender age of 3 when they first crossed paths at View Park Preparatory Accelerated Charter School in Los Angeles, California. Their enduring friendship thrived as they attended school together, and their passion for serving the community blossomed when they co-founded the renowned Black Student Union at Grand Arts, a prestigious performing arts high school.
After graduating in 2016, these two exceptional young women set out on a remarkable journey to pursue their dreams at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, with Imani choosing the esteemed Spelman College and Alexandria attending the esteemed Howard University. Driven by a shared vision and unwavering determination, they meticulously nurtured the concept of Bazaar.
Despite facing the daunting challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Imani and Alexandria boldly brought their vision to life, unveiling Bazaar Los Angeles as a physical destination in the dynamic West Adams Arts District near Downtown Los Angeles. The store stands as a true testament to their entrepreneurial spirit, featuring an awe-inspiring collection of cutting-edge Modern Luxury and Streetwear brands sourced from across the entire United States.
From humble beginnings as childhood friends to becoming empowered leaders in the community, their path to founding Bazaar Los Angeles is nothing short of extraordinary. 1. General Support
All funds donated to (General Support) are used for store purposes only.
2. Small Business Grant for Black Women
All funds donated to the (Small Business Grant for Black Women) will help us award a grant to a Black Woman with a small business annually in commemoration of our store’s founding, September 23, 2020.
3. Start Up Scholarship for HBCU Students
All funds donated to our (Start Up Scholarship for HBCU Students) will help us award a student attending a Historically Black College/University with resources and a mentor in order to jump start their business.
4. Summer Internship
All funds donated to our (Summer Internship) initiative will go towards our stipend for college students interested in interning with our store over the summer to gain hands on experience in business management.
5. Watts of Power Foundation
All funds donated to the (Watts of Power Foundation) will be used to help fund youth to attend various workshops and classes such as: screenprinting, tech coding, and more.
